EMDR Humanitarian Hero Awards Presentation
Now More Than Ever, The World Needs Its Heroes.
The EMDR Humanitarian Hero Award is designed to recognize the efforts of those essential people who dedicate themselves to helping those traumatized by natural or man-made disasters. Colette Anderson and Anthony Campbell, this year’s honorees, have both worked to make it possible for more individuals from under-served communities to gain access to mental health resources.
Through our partnership with the CT Women’s Consortium, we have been able to add hundreds of clinicians trained in EMDR Therapy to our community. Many of these clinicians become our volunteers who then, in collaboration with the New Haven Police Department’s Victim Advocate, have been able to ease the suffering of those affected by violent crimes in our city.
This event will help raise awareness towards these local efforts and bring together individuals interested in building the capacity for EMDR therapy in underserved communities throughout the state. All proceeds from this fundraising event will support our organization in our future efforts.
